I am reading this really awesome book....So You Don't Want To Go To Church. I highly reccomend it to EVERYONE.....
Some parts of it are unsettling, almost hate reading them. However, they challenge church as I have always known it. But I find that it is good to have your beliefs challenge sometimes, it keeps you on your toes.
I am finding work to be quiet a bit harder than I thought it was going to be and that I am not as good at it as I thought I was going to be. I don't like having the pressure of productablitlity (sp) and having to meet certain goals every month. I end up spending every month freaking out about my "work" instead of enjoying it and my clients. Then I end up slightly depressed because I don't meet it every month. I remember the time when jobs were fun and just something to do after school. It doesn't help that I have a boss that is working on his doctorate, running my office, a father and a husband, has a second job, interns at another facility, and goes to tons of meetings every week. He is like super dude. And of course he finds this job easy and gives off the impression that we should as well. I enjoy what I do and who I work with. I just am unhappy. Which is weird right? I would love to stay at home when our child is born and be happy. But I would probably find something to complain about there as well. So maybe it is just me and not my job.
I wish, for the first time ever, that I was an over achiever....instead of just average.
Okay enough of me feeling sorry for myself. ;)
